Carbon Dioxide Emissions and Forestry in China: A Spatial Panel Data Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
This study examines the role of forest activities in carbon emissions for Chinese provinces. We use area and investment with two sub-proxies. The findings spatial analysis have reported significant positive coefficients area. On contrary, has a negative relationship emission. These results negate traditional belief propose that an increase forests through proper continuous management is conducive to mitigating emissions. Additionally, decomposition direct indirect effects confirmed local effect, spillover neighboring regions. concludes emission one province effect provide several policy implications are fruitful environmental makers while drafting rules policies, such as introducing rather than increasing areas without research management.

Evaluating the effects of energy and economic growth on Carbon dioxide emission (using spatial panel data)
Energy is one of the most important inputs in production. Energy usage and energy diffusion of fossil fuels in process of production cause greenhouse gases (CO2) emission and destruction of environment. According to the importance of issues like energy usage and economic growth, this paper, concerning the effects of proximity, evaluates the effects of energy usage and economic growth on emissio...
متن کاملCarbon Emissions Abatement Cost in China: Provincial Panel Data Analysis
This paper employs the quadratic directional output distance function to derive shadow prices of China’s aggregate carbon emissions at the province level between 1997 and 2010. The empirical results indicate that the national weighted average shadow price presents an “N-shape” curve across the sample period, experiencing the initial phase of growth followed by a phase of deterioration, and then...

abstract this study investigates casual relationship between co2 emission and gross domestic product per capita in five different country groups, using cross- country data for the period 1960-2007. to achieve the purpose, the co- integration test and error correction models are applied. results confirm casual relationships between the two variables. a unilateral relationship between gdp and co2...
متن کاملinvestigation emissions carbon dioxide in iran a fuzzy approach
greenhouse gas emissions are considered as the main cause of climate change. investigation of economic dimensions of greenhouse gas emissions and its environmental effects especially in a situation where the volume of greenhouse gas increasingly is rising is very important. in this paper, the relationship between greenhouse gas emissions i.e. carbon dioxide and gdp per capita and energy consump...
متن کاملTemporal and spatial variations in consumption-based carbon dioxide emissions in China
China’s CO2 emissions have sharply increased in recent years with soaring economic development and urbanization. Consumption-based accounting of CO2 emissions could provide new insights for allocating regional mitigation responsibility and curbing the emissions. A multi-regional input–output model is used to study the trends and disparities of consumption-based emissions from Chinese provinces ...
